Prohibited items in the cabin
Without prejudice to the applicable security rules, passengers are not permitted to carry the following items into security restricted areas or on board an aircraft:
- Revolvers, firearms and other equipment which emit projectiles likely, or appear likely, to be used to cause severe damage by the emission of a projectile, in particular:
- 
Firearms of all types, such as pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns
- 
Toys, copies and imitations of firearms likely to be mistaken for real weapons
- 
Spare parts for firearms, with the exception of telescopic sights
- 
Pistols and compressed gas guns, such as pistols, shotguns, pellet rifles, pistols and barrel guns, starter pistols
- 
Bows, crossbows and arrows, harpoons and harpoon guns, slingshots and rock throwers
 
- 
- Devices with a paralysing effect, specially designed to stun or immobilise, in particular:
- 
Stun guns, stun guns and electric truncheons
- 
Stun guns and animal slaughter guns
- 
Chemical substances, neutralising and incapacitating gases and aerosols, such as chloroacetophenone aerosols, pepper sprays, tear gas, acid and animal repellent sprays.
 
- 
- Objects with a sharp point or cutting edge likely to be used to cause severe injury, in particular:
- 
Articles designed for chopping, such as axes, hatchets and cleavers
- 
Ice axes and picks
- 
Razor blades, cutters, knives with blades exceeding 6 cm and scissors with blades, measured from the axis, exceeding 6 cm
- 
Martial arts equipment, sharp or cutting, swords and sabres.
 
- 
-  Work tools likely to be used either to cause severe injury or to threaten the safety of the aircraft, in particular:
- 
Blasting rods
- 
Drills and drill bits, including portable cordless electric drills
- 
Tools with blades or shafts longer than 6 cm that could be used as weapons, such as screwdrivers
- 
Saws, including portable cordless electric saws
- 
Torches, sealing guns and nail guns.
 
- 
-  Blunt instruments likely to be used to cause serious injury when used to strike, such as:
- 
Baseball and softball bats
- 
Bats, truncheons, clubs and truncheons
- 
Martial arts equipment.
 
- 
- Explosive or incendiary substances and devices likely, or appearing likely, to be used to cause serious injury or to threaten the safety of an aircraft, in particular:
- 
Ammunition, primers, detonators and detonating cords
- 
Copies or imitations of explosive devices
- 
Mines, grenades and other military explosives
- 
Fireworks and other pyrotechnic articles
- 
Smoke bombs and cartridges
- 
Dynamite, powder and plastic explosives.
 
- 
Items prohibited in checked baggage
Assembled explosive and incendiary substances are prohibited in freight shipments, except in full compliance with the requirements of all safety regulations.
